Mr. Philip V. Philips Dec 18, 1942 - Feb 23, 2009 "Forever in our hearts, we will deeply miss you"Philip V Philips (also lovingly known as Kunjumon) was born in Kerala, India on December 18th, 1942. He was the eldest child and only son of the late K.P. Philip and Annamma Thomas of Edalil House in Kurianoor. In his youth, he attended Mar Thoma High School Kurianoor. After graduation, he joined the Indian Air Force where he served for 9 years. On February 10th, 1972, he married Rachel Thomas of Manacheril house in Kurianoor. Philip emigrated to the U.S. to be with his wife in 1974. They lived in Bronx, NY and eventually the family settled in Bergenfield, NJ in 1981. Philip was an active member in the religious, social, and political community. He was a founding member of St. Peter’s Mar Thoma Church, where he devoted much of his time in various positions. He played a major role in establishing and growing many local Indian organizations, including Bergen County Malayalee Christian Fellowship and the Indian American Political Action Council.
