Vicar's Message Jan  E-mail

January 2012

Dearly Beloved in Christ,

Wish you all a blessed 2012!

We are at the threshold of another year of adventure with very little idea as to what awaits us in the days to come. But the message of Christmas strengthens us to know that we have a wonderful counselor, an understanding Father, and the Prince of Peace beside us to lead us through all the experiences in store for us. God desires that we lean on Him fully rather than on our own understanding.

In order to move ahead in our Christian faith it is essential that we take some resolutions. But often when we are unable to stick on to the decisions we made we allow guilt to take control of us and decide not to take resolutions at all. But the Bible reminds us that “It is God who works in you both to will and to act according to His good purpose” (Phil. 2:13). So God will give us the strength to accomplish our good desires. Our failures are not final. May God strengthen us to take some New Year resolutions that help our growth and the growth of our community. Let us pray for God’s strength to keep it. May we prioritize our goals to include systematic Bible reading, few minutes of meditation & individual prayer, regular family prayer, fruitful meeting at the dining table with our family, and regular attendance for church worship. May God enable us to make more resolutions so that we could present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

I thank you all for your wholehearted participation in all the events of the church over the past year. I thank the Office bearers of our church, of the various organizations and committee members for their sincere efforts in the functioning of the church activities. May we continue to remain as a caring, sharing, and praying community in this New Year.

With prayers,

M S Daniel Achen
