Vicar's Message

                                                                                                                             1st  June 2008

Dear Beloved in Christ,

Greetings! God created everything. He created form and order. After creating a beautiful habitat, God made human in His own image and shared the breath of life. God had a plan when He created human. To live in communion with the co-creation and the creator God. To be stewards of the creation. To carry out the will of God. What are the essential qualities expected of a steward ? Love, faith, obedience, loyalty, honesty, transparency, credibility, accountability, holiness, good conscience and so on.

But what happened at Eden. The divine intention was frustrated by human evil. When God created everything, he found it was good. But when human used it for selfish motive, the sin entered into the world of created order. Human mind and heart were alienated from God. Alienation is sin. The growth and the spread of sin in human life disturbed the creation as  a whole. First sin appeared in the form of disobedience. Human desire to become like God caused to deform the image of God in human and thereby to deface the creation.

God in his compassion took initative to reinstate the created order. God became human and saved it from the clutches of evil forces by His death and resurrection. He invites us to the heavenly abode to live with Him forever. In response to the love of God that manifested through the Christ event, every human should accept Christ Jesus as Saviour and must witness Him in every realm of life. We should remember that it is grace of God which enabled us to beleive in Christ and therby become children of God. Not on our merits but on His Grace. Let us join with the Psalmist and say, "praise the Lord, O my soul; all my in most being, praise His holy name".

God Bless,

Your loving K.V. Thomas Achen.
