February 2012 Dearly Beloved in Christ,
The season of Lent begins from the 19th of this month. It is an occasion when we consciously take a decision like Daniel and his friends to do what is pleasing to the Lord and to keep away from things that are likely to weaken our faith. It is a moment when we train our body, mind and soul to feast on God’s word and to develop the same vision as Christ had- to reach out to the multitude with the good news of the gospel. By keeping aside things that cling too closely to us we too can see God’s Holy spirit build in us a personality and character that can astonish the pagan world around us. Lent are days of repentance, renewal, and revival of faith experiences. Let us willingly yield to God’s spirit to take control of our lives so that we could become the instruments of God’s grace. May this Lent season help us to take concrete decisions for God’s glory. Pray for the blessing of the 117th Maramon Convention starting from 12th to 19th of this month. We offer our condolences on the demise of our member, Mrs. Mariamma Varghese (92 years). Kindly uphold the bereaved family in your prayers.
