The St. Peter's Mar Thoma Church Youth Fellowship is a large and vibrant organization within the South East Region of the Mar Thoma Diocese of North America & Europe. The mission of our youth fellowship is to see every youth member establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and our vision is to foster the growth of these individuals in their walk with the Lord by focusing on witness, worship, study, and service. By pursuing this, we form a strong community of believers dedicated to spreading the love of God. Below are a list of ministries we take part in:
Fellowship is the key to our corporate worship and
growth, and our Youth Fellowship meets together each week in different
members's houses for either a Youth Meeting or Bible Study. Youth
Meetings are centered around a speaker, either from within our church or
a guest speaker, who speaks on various topics from the Word of God, and
in a Biblical context through life experiences and personal testimony.
Bible Studies are focused on studying a particular passage in the Bible
together by delving into the Word of God, as well as group discussion.
For the 2010 year, our youth fellowship is studying the book of Romans.

We have a dedicated and talented Praise & Worship
Team that plays an important role in the corporate worship of our Youth
Fellowship. Through their love of God and thought-inspired music, they
lead the Youth Fellowship and Church in various capacities, such as
during all meetings, English Services, Sunday School, and special
functions such as the annual Junior Senior Conference, New Jersey
Tri-Youth Services, and the South East Regional English Services.

more information, please contact our English Choir Leader.
Staying true to the Mar Thoma Church's dedication to
missions, our Youth Fellowship plays an active role in missions
activities throughout the world. Members of our Youth Fellowship have
participated throughout the years in trips to Mexico where a dedicated
Mar Thoma mission site has been established. Members have also
participated in other ministries such as the Prison Ministry, Native
American Reservation Missions, and places throughout India.
We keep a
close relationship with our Indian ties by participating in CARD (The Christian Agency
for Rural Development), a ministry of the Mar Thoma
Church, which conducts programs for the less fortunate throughout India.
In the past, we have supported the education of school children by
providing them with education kits for school.
In addition, we have
taken up the recent calling for Neighborhood Missions, in order
to give back to our local community. We play an active role in visiting
nursing homes and hospitals throughout the year, participating in soup
kitchens, hosting the Bergen County Dropoff Site for the FoodBank of
NJ's Annual Turkey Drive, and holding a Community Blood Drive & BBQ
with the American Red Cross. We have also partnered with sister churches
in participating in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of
Samaritan's Purse created by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association,
that provides third world children with presents and basic necessities
inside a simple shoebox.
We will continue to give back to our local
community by participating in town efforts for creating a better
atmosphere and environment through park cleanups, elderly visits, and
other areas of service as needed.
